About the Journal
“Teaching of Azerbaijani Language and Literature" is an Open Access scientific-methodical journal published 4 times in a year (March, June, September, December). Has been published since 1954. The Charter of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was approved by the order dated May 5, 1997, registered by the Ministry of Press and Information of the Republic of Azerbaijan. History of Journal
The “Teaching of Azerbaijani Language and Literature" is an academic-methodical publication of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It was founded on June 15, 1954, as a methodological supplement to the "Azerbaijan Maktabi" journal. Starting from December 3, 1990, it began to be published independently under the name "Ana Sozu" by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Since April 2, 1997, it has been published under the title the "Teaching of Azerbaijani Language and Literature" and continues to be issued to this day.
The journal is included in the list of periodical scientific publications recommended by the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Editors-in-Chief of the Journal
The first Editor-in-Chief of the journal was Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Abdulazal Damirchizada (1954-1959). In the following years, well-known scientists in the country and in the USSR: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Aghammad Abdullayev (1959-1975), Aziz Afandizada (1975-1991), Mirabbas Aslanov (1991-1994), Bahaddin Yunusov (1994-2003), Mahammad Baharli ( 2007-2019).
Currently (from 2021) the Editor-in-Chief of the journal is Sehran Safarov.
