Aims & Scope

"Teaching of Azerbaijani Language and Literature" is a peer-reviewed and open-access scientific and methodological journal that provides scientific and methodological research on the teaching of Azerbaijani language and literature, research on the preservation and promotion of the purity of the language, accepts scientific articles related to all areas of linguistics, publishes articles in Azerbaijani, Turkish and English languages, is published 4 times a year.

The journal is open to the publication of research conducted in accordance with the requirements of the modern era, based on international experience, comparative analysis, and global methodological approaches. These topics are consistent with the main goals of the journal and contribute to the promotion and integration of the Azerbaijani language and literature in the world scientific space.

The publication is intended for the scientific community, linguists, specialists in the field of philology, doctoral students, master's students, teachers of Azerbaijani language and literature, students studying in relevant specialties and a wide audience of readers interested in this field.


Aims


The journal “Teaching of Azerbaijani Language and Literature” defines the following scientific and methodological directions as priorities of its activity:

- Comparatively analyze the methodology of teaching Azerbaijani language and literature, including traditional and modern approaches, and present effective teaching models based on local and international experience;

- Protect the purity and functionality of our language, support its scientific study and promotion by providing space for comparative studies with other languages ​​in terms of structure, lexical and semantic aspects;

- Identify existing problems in the educational process, explore their solutions on a scientific basis and disseminate innovations in this direction;

- Support research and methodological approaches on the integration of modern technologies and digital tools into teaching;

- Promote Azerbaijani literature at the international level, promote its integration into world literature and literary-critical comparative studies;

- Promote the publication of innovative scientific articles that serve to develop the creative and critical thinking skills of students, teachers and researchers.

Innovative methods of teaching language and literature: Application of modern teaching technologies, digital tools and online platforms to the teaching of Azerbaijani language and literature, as well as development of new methodological approaches in this field.

Social and cultural aspects of language and literature: Social functions of language, influence of literature on society, relationship of language with culture and teaching of traditional values ​​through literature and language.

Education and language policy: Teaching and preservation of the Azerbaijani language, state language policy and its application in the educational system.

Teaching Azerbaijani as a foreign language: Methodology, interlingual and intercultural aspects.

Psychological aspects of language and literature: the role of mother tongue in psychological development, the influence of literature on human psychology, psychological characteristics of children's literature and children's language development.

International experiences and methodological approaches in language and literature teaching:

Study of international experiences related to teaching Azerbaijani language and literature, comparative analysis of methodological approaches to teaching language and literature in foreign countries, and investigation of the possibilities of integrating these approaches into the Azerbaijani education system.
