Aims & Scope

“Teaching of Azerbaijani Language and Literature" is a Open Access scientific-methodical journal that publishes original scientific articles in the field of humanities in all fields of linguistics and literary criticism in Azerbaijani, Turkish, English and Russian for 4 times in a year. In addition to Azerbaijani literature, the journal publishes scientific-methodical articles related to the study and teaching of the literature of foreign countries.

The journal is intended for the entire scientific community, linguists, philologists, doctoral students, masters, teachers of the Azerbaijani language and literature, students majoring in this field and a wide range of readers interested in this field.

Aims

- To study the methodology of teaching of Azerbaijani language and literature (as well as world literature) and promote modern teaching approaches;

- Investigating the problems of research and promotion of Azerbaijani language and literature (as well as world literature), identifying innovations and solutions in these fields;

- Protecting the purity and functionality of the mother tongue, instilling the richness of the language into the society through education;

- Sharing new approaches and research results on the development of literature and language, promoting teaching methods in accordance with the requirements of the modern era;

- Investigating and discussing innovative approaches related to the application of modern technologies and digital resources in the teaching of Azerbaijani language and literature;

- Promoting Azerbaijani literature at the international level and strengthening its integration into world literature;

- Development of creative thinking abilities of students and teachers and promotion of innovative approaches in language and literature teaching;

- Development of inclusive education and language teaching according to different needs.

Scope

Innovative methods of teaching language and literature: Application of modern teaching technologies, digital tools and online platforms to the teaching of Azerbaijani language and literature, as well as development of new methodological approaches in this field.

Social and cultural aspects of language and literature: Social functions of language, influence of literature on society, relationship of language with culture and teaching of traditional values ​​through literature and language.

Education and language policy: Teaching and preservation of the Azerbaijani language, state language policy and its application in the educational system.

Psychological aspects of language and literature: the role of mother tongue in psychological development, the influence of literature on human psychology, psychological characteristics of children's literature and children's language development.

Globalization and language change: Language development under globalization, issues of language enrichment, emergence of new terminology and the impact of these changes on teaching.

Pedagogical use of literature: use of literature in the teaching and learning process in schools and universities, pedagogical analysis of literary works and use in textbooks.

Problems and development of modern Azerbaijani literature: problems faced by Azerbaijani literature in modern times, new writers and poetic trends, place of Azerbaijani literature in world literature.
