ABSTRACT
The article talks about the love of Turkey and the special sympathy for the Turkish people of Ahmad Javad, a prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature - a great poet, a well-known educator and public figure, a publicist, a victim of repression. In the article, the author explains the reasons for the popularity of the poem "Chirpinirdin Gara deniz", which made the poet famous in Turkey for a century, provides information about the campaign organized against him by Soviet ideologues who used his poem published in Turkey in 1928 as an excuse, and finally draws attention to his shooting on charges of pan-Turkism. Unfortunately, the poet was able to receive his deserved appreciation in his native land only after Azerbaijan gained independence. As a result of this, a plan of events related to the celebration of the 130th anniversary of Ahmad Javad is being prepared at the state level according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
