Creative words through metaphorication in the modern Azerbaijani language

ABSTRACT 

An in-depth study of the essence of metaphorical units, which is an inexhaustible source in enriching the vocabulary of the language, allows us to study the metaphorical landscape in world languages, including Azerbaijani. Metaphorization serves to increase the degree of imagery, to enrich the vocabulary and terminology system with new words, terms and expressions, and to express these components in the language in an expressive and aesthetic way. The article also discusses the lexical-semantic method and its types, which are the main methods of word formation. The main object of our research in the article is the creation of words and expressions due to the acquisition of a new meaning, which in linguistic litera-ture is also called word creation through metaphorization.
