ABSTRACT
The article notes that the socio-political events that took place in Azerbaijan during the period of independence did not go unnoticed. Because all the historical processes experienced by the people are embodied in their language. If language is a treasure, speech is the ability to choose what is needed from this treasure. The correctness of speech means the correctness of thought. Another im-portant condition for the beauty of speech is that the words, expressions and sentences we use comply with the norms of li-terary language. If we do not follow these re-quirements, there will be chaos in the language and sub-jectivism will prevail. The article also mentions that in the language of electronic and written press, sometimes stylistic norms are grossly violated, inappropriate repeti-tion and rhetoric are allowed, the explanation of the same opinion in different forms is incorrect and it is inevitable to prevent these negative situations. Along with the correct pronunciation of words and expressions in the process of cultural speech, it is also important to choose and use them correctly. For this, we must know the gramma-tical rules of our language perfectly.
