ABSTRACT

Phraseology, which studies phraseological combinations in the language, constitutes a special layer of the language as an independent branch of linguistics. Although the historical roots of these compounds date back to ancient times, its development as an independent science is considered to be from the beginning of the 20th century. Although the history of the study of phraseology as a science began with the Swedish linguist S. Balli, the history of the study of linguistic development was related to Russian linguistics, and many scientific works and re-search articles were written in this regard. Phraseological combinations have a special importance in the enrichment of the language. These combinations form an integral and rich feature layer of the vocabulary of the language. In the article, phraseological combinations related to body parts used in fiction were investigated and included in the research.
