ABSTRACT
If we look at the lexicon of the Azerbaijani language, we will see that homonymy is not limited only to words. Thus, homonymy includes words that are different and similar in pronunciation, spelling, and form. One of the homonymic phenomena is omoforms. The term omoform is derived from Greek and means words of the same form. Thus, omoforms are formed as a result of the influence of the phonological system on the lexical system. Homoforms have different roots and grammatical signs. The components that make up homoforms are arranged with grammatical suffixes. If we look carefully at the pronunciation of homoforms, we will see that they differ in sound.
