ABSTRACT
Providing students with textbooks is the leading line of textbook policy for Azerbaijan secondary schools. Among the textbooks improved every year for grades I – XI the textbooks Literature occupy a key place in the students' personality formation. In the literature textbooks of the So-viet period, more space was given to works on the friend-ship of nations, internationalism, building socialism, and examples from the literature of “brotherly” nations, topics such as the spiritual world of man, his life, thoughts, nature, humanity, etc. are highlighted in new generation textbooks. Karabakh and Shusha are one of the topics that textbook authors pay attention to in literature and primary school reading textbooks. With regret, we have to note that “Shusha”, “Karabakh”, which has been under occupation for 30 years, have been unequivocal about being included in textbooks that are improved every year.
