ABSTRACT
When talking about the system of work on the use of listening texts, listening first it is necessary to clarify the psychological content of the skill. So, without knowing the pedagogical and psychological essence of the word listening, it is impossible to analyze what the work on listening to a text consists of. Because what is included in the content of listening skills is taken as a criterion for assessment. Thus, if the pedagogical-psychological nature of the listening texts is taken into account, didactic issues can be set appropriately and optimally. For this, the functional aspects of the listening texts should be compared with the main texts.
