ABSTRACT
The article examines the factors affecting the speech development of elementary school students. It is noted that modern students, who are the builders of the future, are formed as a personality and are useful for society, depending on how well they master speech culture. The main features of the speech of a primary school student are: content, logic, clarity, expressiveness, correctness of speech. These features are closely related to each other. After achieving these, children develop speech culture, the ability to identify and correct mistakes in oral and written speech. With the help of words, a person perceives the information received from another person, connects it with existing knowledge, makes decisions, plans his future activities, compares the obtained result with the intended goal, monitors and regulates his actions. Properly developed speech is a successful learning tool for the student at school. On the other hand, a good mastery of language and speech helps to understand the complex relationships that occur in nature and society.
