ABSTRACT
The study of the historical development process of our language for many centuries is impossible without determining the changes in its lexical composition and grammatical structure, without analyzing the phonetic, lexical, and grammatical features of the language units characteristic for the studied historical period at the linguistic level. In particular, its vocabulary and grammatical structure should be deeply studied. Because the language rests on two important giants − vocabulary and grammatical structure. From the diachronic research on the language of Imadaddin Nasimi's poetry, it is known that some of the grammatical suffixes used in the poet's artistic language are either completely archaic, some have undergone certain changes in their phonetic composition, and some have preserved their traces at the regional level (-gıl, -gil; -durur, -ibani, -iban, -ubanu; - alım, -elim; -jagin, -jagiz, -jaghiz; -ayim, -eyim, etc.).
