ABSTRACT
The
prospects for the preservation and development of the Azerbaijani language in
the education system are regulated by the use of the language. Thus, the
Azerbaijani language has been formed as the main language of instruction in the
country's educational institutions. In our modern era, great importance is
attached to improving the quality of teaching the native language in schools
and higher education institutions. The preparation of educational programs,
further improvement of school textbooks, creation of online platforms,
development of digital resources have a great impact on the use of the language
as a working language among young people. The article examines the role of the
native language in the development of the education system in Azerbaijan, its
use opportunities, and how the language, national values, customs and
traditions, and culture were implemented through reforms in the field of
education after independence. The implementation of active support at the state
level for the development of the Azerbaijani language in the education system
opens up wide opportunities for the formation of a literate and cultural
environment in both schools and higher education institutions in the modern era
and for increasing the competitiveness of learners.
