The Embodiment of Homeland Longing in Mahira Naghigizi's Story “My Boots”

ABSTRACT

Mahira Naghi gizi Huseynova is a prominent intellectual of contemporary Azerbaijani literature, a philologist, an experienced teacher and a talented poet. Her works are distinguished by their deep meaning, figurative language and poetic richness. The scientist has conducted numerous studies in the field of linguistics and presented important scientific research on the development of the modern Azerbaijani language. At the same time, Mahira Naghigizi makes significant contributions to the preservation of national and spiritual values, the instillation of the spirit of patriotism and the formation of literary and aesthetic thought with her artistic creativity. The article examines the theme of M. Naghigizi's story "My Boots", the inner world of the characters and the motifs of longing for the homeland. The idea of the story resonates with attachment to the homeland, the sorrow and losses caused by longing for the homeland, as well as the deep effects of this longing on the human soul. In the story, the author clearly presents the past of our people, the pains they experienced and the misfortunes that Armenians brought upon our people throughout history through the language of the main character. With this work, Mahira Naghigizi calls on people not to forget the past, to preserve national memory, and to educate the younger generation with love for the homeland.
