ABSTRACT
Having the necessary vocabulary is the first and main condition for mastering speech skills. Work in this area enriching the language reserve, observing the rules of literary pronunciation when speaking, and developing the skills of correct sentence construction and coherent speech - manifests itself in every lesson. Raising the general level of the class ensures that schoolchildren deeply master the content of other subjects, forms their initiative and creative abilities. One of the main conditions for mastering speech skills is the richness of the vocabulary. In order to enrich the students' vocabulary reserve, the teacher should inform them about the richness of the vocabulary of our language. We know that reading is the main subject of education. Through it, patriotic feelings are brought up in students, positive moral qualities are instilled. Of course, the basis of reading is literary works. Literary works are created on the basis of the unity of content and form. In order to deeply perceive artistic images and works, their artistic form must be understood along with their ideological content. Some elementary school teachers only implement vocabulary work in reading lessons. Sometimes, teachers fail to plan vocabulary work properly, resulting in the loss of connections between classes.
