ABSTRACT

The article deals with the teaching of verbs as action words in primary grades. The main reason for the independent appearance of the main parts of speech is that each of them has its own characteristics and signs. It is due to these characteristics and signs that the main parts of speech are separated from the auxiliary parts of speech, as well as from each other. The verb, included in the word class grouped as the main part of speech, plays an important role in our language and speech. The verb occupies a wide place in morphology with its etymology, characteristic features and rich categories. Verbs are the main part of speech classified according to tense, person, and number. The change of the verb according to time is considered a unique feature of this part of speech. Verbs in the Azerbaijani language dominate other parts of speech due to their grammatical categories and the richness of their lexical composition. Despite the fact that our language has been influenced by various languages historically, verbs are predominant among the national words in our vocabulary. The national authenticity of the Azerbaijani language has been preserved through verbs. It is possible to see the preservation of the national characteristics of verbs even in our classical literary language. These features show themselves mostly in simple and simplified verbs.
