ABSTRACT
The
article examines the current problems and main aspects of studying the theme of
nature in the context of modern requirements in the process of teaching
literature. The relevance of the topic is justified by the fact that although
the theme of nature in the teaching of literature has a long development path,
real ideas and observations in artistic facts have been explained in most cases
under the influence of ideological direction. However, the events taking place
in modern times show that the more necessary the teaching of literature is in
terms of the formation of human personality, the more relevant and important
the issue of teaching and instilling the attitude towards nature as an integral
part of man and existence in general is. During the research, analysis,
synthesis, comparison and other scientific-methodological approaches were used,
and solid scientific results and conclusions were obtained. The article shows
that global climate change, the consequences it causes and the calls for a
joint fight against these problems, including the goals set by the COP29 international
event held in Azerbaijan, necessitate the formation of new content and
requirements in the teaching of literature. In this regard, the teaching of the
theme of nature in fiction should be rebuilt in accordance with modern
standards. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the attitude towards nature
should not be limited to loving it, but that one's understanding of oneself as
a part of nature, and considering the fate of nature together with the fate of
man, should become one of the main ideas of education.
