Language Situation in Independent Azerbaijan

ABSTRACT
The purpose of the
article is to determine the functional level of the Azerbaijani language both
within the country and abroad. Descriptive and comparative methods were used in
writing this article. The main scientific and theoretical findings obtained are
related to the types of language situations. Scientific novelty is determined
by all parameters of the language situation. The main conclusion drawn from the
study is the direct dependence of the selection of language norms,
standardization and modernization of the language in the modern approach to the
language situation. The practical significance of the article is revealed in
the teaching of sociology and sociolinguistics subjects in higher education.
