ABSTRACT
Abdulla Shaig a teacher, textbook author, poet and writer was one of the artists who opened a unique page in the history of Azerbaijani literature and pedagogical thought. Its rich heritage is loved and read by both adults and children. Since the writer, who has been creating artistic examples since the end of the 20th century, lived in a difficult time, he found his artistic expression in the so-cial contradictions of that time, marxist-leninist ideology, and the ideology of socialism. As a teacher, he understood the importance of the rising generation's mastery of science, and considered it necessary to study school, education, especially language and literature. The writer, who knows best the need for textbooks in schools and the gaps in the teaching of Azerbaijani literature as a teacher, writes a large part of the textbook "Workbook of Literature", published in 1928. The materials included in the textbook are confirmed as a clear example of his pedagogical activity, methodological training and worldview.
