ABSTRACT
It is known that the purity of the literary
language depends, first of all, on compliance with its pronunciation norms. The
accurate and clear delivery of thought to the listener is often associated with
pronunciation. When we say pronunciation, we mean the expression of our
language in accordance with general norms. In this regard, pronunciation includes
both literary and dialect and local forms of speech and is expressed by the
concept of “literary pronunciation”. Literary pronunciation requires speaking
in accordance with the norms of the language, observing the rules for
pronouncing words and speech sounds. The set of these rules is called orthoepic
norms. The main task of work on speech development stems from the teaching of
the unity of language and thinking. By developing children's thinking, their
speech is influenced, and by developing their speech, the formation of their
thinking is stimulated. Starting from elementary grades, teachers should
consistently work on developing literary pronunciation skills, correct sentence
construction skills, vocabulary enrichment, and coherent speech in students.
The article discusses research conducted specifically
on the formation of literary pronunciation and sentence construction skills.
