ABSTRACT
Proper interpersonal relationships create a favorable environment for the development of the child, which in turn meets their successful socialization and the need to communicate with people. Younger students have seri-ous difficulties in building interpersonal relationships: they often create conflicts because they do not know how to communicate with their peers, how to maintain rela-tionships with other people, how to express adequate opinions about their likes and dislikes, and are aggres-sive with others. Therefore, they prefer to be alone. The article discusses the formation of students' speech culture skills. It is noted that students must be able to express their ideas clearly and competently, to speak competently and politely, to follow the norms of literary language, to use the rules of speech etiquette, to use the means of intonation and expression.
