Possibilities of Developing Students' Independence in Literature Education

ABSTRACT

The education reform carried out in our country has set as a serious task the upbringing of the young generation who are independent-minded and able to determine the solutions to the problems they face. The realization of this task depends significantly on the improvement of teaching tools. It is no coincidence that special attention is paid to the development, implementation and improvement of the new educational program – curriculum. In the curriculum of the subject of literature, the importance of the issue is consistently mentioned, specific requirements and ways are indicated. In other words, the development of students' activity and independence finds its expression in all the issues covered by the subject. the transformation of acquired knowledge into skills, the development of students' mental activity and independence of thinking is considered a first-class task. It was in this direction that the analysis of the educational program and literature textbooks was carried out in the article.
