ABSTRACT
The article talks about the main directions of comparing
modern Azerbaijani language classes with traditional teaching in primary
classes. Thus, taking into account the possibilities of students to acquire
deep knowledge, Azerbaijani language teachers try to form students' ability to
understand concepts related to the subject and make judgments. In modern
Azerbaijani language classes, more space should be given to problematic
questions and thought-provoking studies that form students' independent
thinking. Unlike the traditional lesson, the modern teaching process requires
serious preparation for the lesson from the teachers. For this reason, the
teacher must determine in advance what methods and principles he will use in
the lesson, motivation, and the use of auxiliary materials and technology on
the spot. The main goal of the modern lesson should be to develop students' understanding,
increase their worldview, and create an opportunity for them to have
independence of imagination.
